According to Narcosphere survey in US Monsanto, stood in second place, continued to threaten the future of humanity with genetically altered seeds. Depleting the world of a rich diversity of seeds and crops, Monsanto continues to destroy sustainable systems of food production around the world. Monsanto was the primary supplier of Agent Orange during the Vietnam War where the agent orange killed more than 15000 people. Even Prince Charles exposed Monsanto recently, revealing that thousands of farmers have committed suicide in India because of Monsanto's promise of riches. Those promises only resulted in failed crops and a flood of debt in India's "Suicide Belt" after switching to genetically modified seeds.
Seven years ago, Feb 4, 1994, despite nationwide protests by consumer groups, Monsanto and the FDA forced onto the US market the world's first GE animal drug, recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone (rBGH, sometimes known as rBST).

BGH is a powerful GE drug produced by Monsanto which, injected into dairy cows, forces them to produce 15%-25% more milk, in the process seriously damaging their health and reproductive capacity.

Since rBGH was approved by FDA, approximately 40,000 small and medium-sized US dairy farmers, 1/3 of the total in the country, have gone out of business, concentrating milk production in the hands of industrial-sized dairies, most of whom are injecting their cows with this cruel and dangerous drug.

The milk produced by using these injections may cause breast cancer,kidney and liver damage to humans but in infants it will not be a problem.In addition mortality rate of cows was increased.

Environmental Destruction:
In the 1980s, Monsanto Corporation got a bad name for polluting every square foot of the planet with noxious PCBs, dioxin, and harmful pesticides. Now Monsanto is a leader in the biotech revolution that threatens to engineeer the genes of every food crop on the planet with potentially disastrous consequences for the environment.
Monsanto owns the drug company, G.D. Searle - producer of:
Demulen, an oral contraceptive, is an oestrogenic compound. Environmental scientists are linking oestrogenic pollutants to breast cancer.
Flagyl, an oral synthetic antiprotozoal and antibacterial, can cause convulsive seizures,peripheral neuropathy, a significant lessening of white blood corpuscles, and can make candida infections worse.
Kerlone for "management of hypertension" can contribute to cardiac failure.
Lomotil, the anti-diarrhea drug, has a number of adverse effects including tachycardia, vomiting, depression, numbness of extremities and pancreatitis.

These are only a few i have discussed here. Our blog will not be enough to explain the nonethical issues of Monsanto.Hope India will not sign B.T brinjal contract and save India from Monsanto.
