Aman ki Asha..

Pakistan and India have spent six decades of hatred, rivalry and enmity with each other since independence and both the countries have been facing the wrath in one form or other. The parties of both the sides have made umpteen attempts to restore peace and harmony mutually but some unscrupulous elements foil them always and every time.

However this time two leading media houses of India and Pakistan - The Times of India and the Jang Group - have come together to develop a stronger Track 2 in the diplomatic and cultural relations between India and Pakistan. "Aman ki Asha: Destination Peace" which looks beyond the confines of a 62-year-old political boundary to the primal bonds that tie together the two peoples.

This event is being organised to bring the people of both the countries together through the series of cultural events. I am simply impressed by the noble initiatives Times of India group takes up. “Lead India”, “Lets teach” and now –“Aman ki Asha”. I fondly remember “Lets teach” campaign organise d way back in 2008 wherein we took up a primary school and taught them on 4 consecutive weekends. More than anything what made me feel contended was the fact that some way or the other I was connecting myself with the country and its society.

I am sure the campaign- Aman ki asha would also create a similar impression and would convey the meaning in the true sense with which its has been started-

Raise your voices, sing aloud.

Echoing hopes to joys unbound…!!
