BT Brinjal- Here we go again...............

BT Brinjal is creating a wave of controversies already and the uproar is likely to continue into the near future. I am not going to blog about whether BT is good or bad for the people, as my opinion will be one of the many across the country. I would rather be worried about the development of this country and the challenges it comes across when introducing something new for development. As we are a democratic nation the people have the right to decide for themselves whether is good or bad for them, so debates will occur every time a new issue comes up. All the political parties comes up with their own view on this issue, the question is whom do we trust it will be fair to say all of them base their views on the voter bank and not on reality. The problem with the ruling governments in India is that whoever is in power looks for short term gains rather than long term goals, they jump into decisions so that they get the credit for implementing it. Also governments tend to be stern on their decisions let’s hope the they turn back their decision on BT Brinjal as it is clear that proper testing has not been done and also Genetically modified crops should not be the future of a country which has been in agriculture from time immemorial.
