Food inflation has been hovering around 17 -18 % during the last week due to high prces of certain items like pulses,potatoes and pulses.
According to Mr: Sharad pawar(Food and agriculture minister)inflation is high because the current price is compared with the rates of the year ago. He also said that the situation will change after march-end when the rabbi harveast hits the market.
