hello friends
This is really a good opportunity for me to share my views with you all. Through this article i want to prostest against some political factors that are operating in Mumbai and trying to divide the country on the basis of region and language. Mr Bal Thackeray lead Shiv Sena and Raj Thackeray lead MNS are involved in a narrow and divisive politics just for their own benefit. Every now and then we heard about attacks on North Indians. This shows how badly their mentality is polluted. Mumbai belongs to all Indians and no one can prevent non-Maharashtrians from migrating to the city for livelihood. The recent agitation held by the Sena activists outside actor Shah Rukh Khan's house for supporting the cause of Pakistani cricketers in the IPL is unfortunate. One should understand that sports and arts have no religion. Our Constitution gives us the freedom of speech but it is unfortunate that the film industry has not come against the Shiv Sena for spewing venom against Mr. Khan. When Mumbai was under the siege of dreaded terrorists attack on 26/11, Thackerays forgot that the security persons who fought valiantly were also from North India. The Shiv Sena and the MNS condemn the attacks on Indians in Australia and threaten that they will not allow Australian cricketers to play in India. On the other hand , they make every effort to deprive fellow North Indians of their basic right to live in Mumbai. This shows how patriotic these Thackerays are! It is the time for Thackerays and their Sena to give up this narrow and devisive politics, which is certainly supported neither by Marathi nor by any part in India. It is good that our Union Home Minister, Mr. P. Chidambaram considered the Sena's thesis as "pernicious" but mere some words of condemnation are not going to solve the real problem instead some strong steps should be taken not only by Center but also by "idle" state government against them.
So through this i want to make an appeal to all "INDIANS", being a literate person, we should avoid htese illiterate politisians and their dirty politics. I also want to convey a message that "Mumbai belongs to us".
Thank you.
