education in India : on the verge of change

Friends, one of the main reason why we chose SCMS as our destination is that ,the pgdm degree provided by this institution is approved by AICTE and is well recognized in the industry and this is one of the few belief we still hold strong . but not all the students opting for a MBA have this minimum assurance . There are more than 4000 engineering colleges and atleast 2500 b-school running in this country .But in 60% of the educational institution terms like donation, capitation fee ,management quotas are quite common.

In this regard the decision of the union cabinet to provide both imprisonment for 3 years and a fine of 50 lakhs is an admirable step towards educational reform in India . This can act like a fear factor for those people who has made 'education' into a 'fraud'.
