Is it the time to say "Goodbye Maruti 800"!!!!!!

Maruti 800 ,the people's car for last 27 years is soon going to be phased out from the Indian automobile market.....A car which has totally changed the orientation of Indians towards the concept of having a compact car over those manufactured by Hindustan Motors and Padmini , is soon going to be a history!!!!...... Is it a right decision on the part of Maruti India Ltd.????The reason cited was that of Bharat Stage-IV emissions norms which are going to be operational from 1st April'2010 in 13 major cities in India, including the metros. The management told that they have no plans to install the new mechanism in the car....but what about the customers who showed the great deal of loyalty(25,00,000 customers) towards the car till the last month????Why cant the management upgrade the car which became a synonym for common man's car????...I think if the management sticks to their decision, who knows TATA can overtook as the largest automobile(Car) manufacturer of India!!!!!!!!

  1. Well Deep jyoti it is time to bid farewell to the faithful M800 which changed the Indian perception of a car!! But TATA overtaking the rest as the largest seller is not on the cards.
Why? Simply, because Maruti is planning to launch a direct competitor to the Nano! Behold, its the Maruti cervo powered by a 660cc gasoline engine which pumps out a decent 55 horses!!! The race is not yet over mate! Bajaj-Nissan are planning on their small car as well!
No automobile manufacturer would make it a walk in the park for TATA that too in a market like Ours where 70% of cars running are small cars!
