media and the art of manipulation

hi,
you must be following the news of shahrukh khan and siv-sena conflict,so there is no point in breifing about the story to you.this kind of controversy is not new in our country, but it is really surprising for a party like siv-sena,which was once ruling maharastra, has lost its vote base so badly that now it needs such a trivial issue to get publicity.it is really surprising that other political parties, whose ideology are similar to that of siv-sainiks are keeping mum,may be they want to come clean in this matter.but then the political parties can go to any extent to find their space in the headline.and media, specially the electronic media with their 24/7 schedule is the best possible place to publicize oneself. media, mostly controlled by politicians, are getting misused these days.the above mentioned controversy was trivial, but the way some section of the media has portrayed and presented it by reporting breathlessly that the news got undue attention.the media is far better aware than us about the intentions of the political parties, but still instead of reporting other important national news,it chooses to increase its TRP by showing the news again and again, consequently converting spark into fire.the media on this occasion has acted in irresponsible manner.they should be more responsible while reporting the news rather than creating more confusion among the mind of people.

  1. Iqbal, you can manipulate anything and everything which includes all political parties. I will not be shocked if King Khan paid off or bought off the Sena for the ruckus the party raised over a silly movie. Money says it all!
